Is this 120-inch HVLS fan right for my space?
This 120-inch HVLS fan is designed for large indoor spaces, including warehouses, workshops, gyms, barns, factories, event halls, and expansive great rooms. It delivers up to 36,000 CFM for broad, low-speed air circulation. For the best result, choose the number and placement of fans based on ceiling height, room layout, racks, machinery, doors, and existing airflow—not floor area alone
What ceiling height and clearance does this fan need?
This downrod-mount fan measures 17.39 inches from the ceiling to its lowest point and includes a 10-inch downrod. For safe operation, maintain at least 7 ft. of clearance between the blades and the floor, plus ample open clearance around the full 120-inch blade span. Because of its size, we recommend reviewing the installation site with a qualified installer before ordering.
Why does a 120-inch HVLS fan rotate at only 70 RPM?
HVLS means High Volume, Low Speed. Instead of creating a narrow, high-speed draft, the large 120-inch blade span moves a very high volume of air across a wide area at a lower RPM. At up to 70 RPM, this fan delivers up to 36,000 CFM while operating at approximately 38 dB, helping create smoother and more comfortable circulation in large spaces.
Can this fan be installed outdoors or on a covered patio?
No. This model is rated for dry indoor locations only. Do not install it outdoors, on uncovered patios, in bathrooms, or in areas exposed to rain, high humidity, direct moisture, or wind-driven water. A covered roof alone does not make an indoor-rated fan suitable for outdoor conditions.
Can I control the speed, timer, and airflow direction with the remote?
Yes. The included remote controls the fan’s 6 speeds, timer, and memory function. It uses a CR2032 battery. The DC motor is also reversible. Use the standard direction for cooling airflow in warmer months, then reverse it in cooler months to help circulate warm air near the ceiling.
