Is this 84-inch or 100-inch fan right for my space?
This oversized ceiling fan is designed for large indoor spaces over 350 sq. ft., such as great rooms, open-concept living areas, lofts, workshops, and covered patios. Choose the 84-inch model for large residential rooms and garages; choose the 100-inch model for more open areas where you want broader airflow coverage. For the best fit, check the full blade span and allow adequate clearance from walls, beams, doors, and shelving.
What ceiling height and clearance do I need?
The fan measures 10.4 inches high without a downrod and includes both 8-inch and 12-inch downrods. For safe operation, the fan blades should be installed at least 7 ft. above the floor, with clear space around the full 84-inch or 100-inch blade span. This model is compatible with sloped ceilings up to 11°. For ceilings higher than standard height, please confirm the desired blade-to-floor height before ordering an extension downrod.
Which downrods are included? Can I use a longer one?
The package includes two downrods: 8 inches and 12 inches. Select the shorter downrod for standard-height ceilings and the longer option when you need additional clearance from the ceiling. For higher ceilings, compatible 24-inch, 36-inch and 48-inch extension downrods can be ordered separately. Please contact us before purchasing to confirm compatibility and the required wire length for your installation.
Can this fan be installed on a covered patio or outdoors?
This fan is suitable for indoor spaces and covered patios. It should be installed in an area protected from direct rain, standing water, and continuous exposure to wind-driven moisture. It is not intended for fully exposed outdoor locations. If your fan may be directly exposed to rain or snow, please choose a wet-rated ceiling fan instead.
Why does a large ceiling fan rotate more slowly?
A larger fan moves more air with a wider blade span, so it does not need to spin as fast as a smaller fan to create effective circulation. The 84-inch model reaches up to 95 RPM, while the 100-inch model reaches up to 80 RPM—both engineered to deliver strong, wide-area airflow with a smoother, more comfortable breeze. At maximum speed, the fan delivers up to 11,200 CFM (84-inch) or 11,500 CFM (100-inch).
Can I control the fan speed and airflow direction with the remote?
Yes. The included remote lets you select from 6 fan speeds for everyday comfort control. The DC motor is also reversible: use the downward airflow setting for cooling in summer, and reverse the airflow in winter to help circulate warm air trapped near the ceiling. This model is a no-light ceiling fan, so the remote controls fan functions only.
